Arran 84

Isle of Arran trip April 1984.

Tuesday 3rd - Get ferry to Arran after a bit of a mix up with the times. Get bus to Lochranza, stay at the youth hostel. Play cards with two French students and a Conservation volunteer.

Wednesday 4th - Get the school bus to Brodick at 8:30, walk up Goat Fell (2800 ft) then Cìr Mhòr then down to Sannox, along the road to Lochranza, about 18 miles. Play cards with 4 lads, 15 years old, from Dundee and Elaine who was in charge of them.

Thursday 5th - Get up at 8am, miss the only bus at 8:30am to Brodick, start walking, get a lift from a carpenter. Wander round Brodick, meet Elaine and the boys in souvenir shop. Sit drinking tea with Elaine until the ferry arrives.
